About
A small set of document tools.
Built to do one job properly: make a file the exact size a form demands.
What this site is
MrPositive is a collection of browser-based tools for preparing documents that Indian government, examination and scholarship portals require. Most of them exist because a portal will refuse an upload that misses its stated limit by a handful of bytes, and the tools people reach for instead are phone apps and browser extensions that ask for permissions they do not need.
Each tool does one thing. There is no account to create, no dashboard, and nothing to install.
How the tools work
Everything runs in your browser using features that are already part of it. Images are decoded, redrawn at a different size, and re-encoded locally. The result is handed straight back to you as a download.
Nothing is transmitted, because there is no server for it to be transmitted to. If you want to confirm that claim rather than take it on trust, load any tool page, disconnect from the internet, and use it. It will behave identically.
Why the file size has to be hunted for
Reducing an image to a target size is not a single operation. Lowering the compression quality alone usually lands you well under or slightly over the limit. So these tools search: they look for the highest quality that still fits underneath your ceiling, and where that is not enough, they step the pixel dimensions down and try again.
The result is the sharpest image that satisfies the rule, rather than an arbitrary one.
What this site is not
- It is not affiliated with any government body, examination authority or recruitment board.
- It is not a substitute for the official notification. Requirements differ between portals and change between cycles.
- It is not a document storage service. Nothing is kept.
Corrections
If a portal's requirements have changed, or you have found a case where a tool produces a file that is rejected, that is worth reporting. Use the contact page.
